School this week was pretty cool. On Monday we had a food and culture class on eating out and traditions. We visited three different places all of which I want to go back to and sample sometime. We did not have class on Tuesday because we all had to go to the police station about our visas. I was dreading going soooo bad because I thought it was going to take all day but we were there for less than an hour. It ended up being an awesome day because that was so short and the weather was gorgeous out. Jess, Krista, and I headed back to our apartment with Mitch and then we all went to the park by our place to hangout. On Wednesday I had my midterm oral exam for Italian and I was super nervous about it but I ended up doing really awesome on it. On Thursday for Layers we went to Villa Farnesina. Paul ended up being really late which is abnormal of him and we were all a little worried. He eventually showed up though and class was awesome always. My favorite parts about this class was hearing the stories about the man the used to own the property and the Pope’s visits there and hearing the stories behind the paintings that were there. Afterwards we had our food and media midterm. I felt pretty confident about it though walking out. I think I only got 1 or 2 wrong. On Friday we went on an Agriturismo visit to see how cheese was made. The tour was pretty interesting given the condition of most people in the class but it made for a very entertaining time. Mitch was hilarious! He told us a story of his from Venice about having to go to the bathroom (25% in and 75% out), then when they were talking about the sheep on the land in a very concerned voice asked who the shepherd was?, and then watching him trying to talk to the little girl as a look of shock just stayed on her face was priceless. Kyle, Bree, Linsay, and Katie all also had funny moments related to having to go the bathroom and Rob and Mitch stood up during lunch and tried to give a toast that just ended up being really pointless but funny. Jess went to Amsterdam this weekend and Krista and I stayed in Rome. It was a pretty laid back weekend. It was nice to get to sleep in. When Krista and I were both finally up we went shopping. We found some pretty sweet clothes and belts. Then we headed home and got ready to go to the A.S. Roma vs. A.C. Milan game. We went to Leah’s apartment to meet up with everyone that was going to pregame for the game. We got a little too caught up in the pregaming/ had problems getting a taxi to the stadium and we were really late to the game. On the plus side I got to see Beckham play (what a cutie). It was a really good game, what I saw of it, and I really wish I would have gotten to see the whole thing. It ended in a 0-0 tie. I wish they would have gone into overtime I hate when they let games end in ties. It is like all that effort is wasted. Afterwards we had a fiasco of a time getting home. After I finally got home, my parents were having some of my uncles and aunts over for dinner so I was able to skype with all of them which was really nice. Then I went to bed. On Sunday, Krista and I got up and went to the market in Trastevre. I bought 2 more new tops, a dress, a pair of leggings, and new headphones. Then we went back to our apartment and I worked on some homework and skyped people… nothing to exciting.
