There were two pretty cool things this week involving school but other than that it was a pretty normal week of school. Both things happened on Tuesday. First on Tuesday morning we went on a tour to the Vatican Museum and we went into the Sistine Chapel. There are so many paintings to look at in there! I think my appreciation for art has definitely increased since I started study abroad but how long it holds my interest is based on whether or not I have someone explaining the story in or behind the painting/artist. I think my favorite painting in the Sistine Chapel had to be The Last Judgment painting. The second thing was that we finally started cooking class!!!! On Tuesday our class was on pasta and risotto. The take home point of that lecture had to be that risotto is not a type of pasta but rather a way of preparing pasta. I was with Jess and I think ours turned out pretty descent. On Wednesday we had cooking again on fish and meat. This class started with us going to the fresh fish market. Boy were those fish fresh… so much so that when we were looking at them they started to flop around. I was pretty shocked by that fact, of course, I think most of our group was. The weekend was pretty uneventful: caught up on sleep worked out with Jess, chilled at the park with Jess and Krista. The highlight of the weekend was probably that Jess, Krista and I made homemade chicken noodle soup and it was delicious!
